Just enjoyed a great vacation at the beach. The grandkids and I had a fun time running in the waves, digging in the sand and swimming in the pool. Now I need a week to recover!
I'm finishing the diaper bag this week - waiting on the monograming. My daughter found me more embroidered pillowcases and I can hardly wait to sew them into some beautiful little dresses.
I hope everyone is having a memorable summer and staying cool.

A few quiet days....

I have actually had some quiet days. I am using them to catch up on house work (no fun) and work on new projects. I will post pictures of the finished products. It seems so strange to have time to think on what I would like to do next. I know this too will pass. I have a diaper bag to make and food for a graduation party to prepare. Looking forward to our week at the Fernandina Beach in June - waves, wind, waves and all my children and grandchildren. Who could ask for more?!

spring fever

April definitely brought showers - two whole days of rain , about 9 inches. This however allowed some time for sewing but not before celebrating my birthday! My wonderful children surprised me with lunch, family and friends - what a lovely time.
My niece, Becka, will be showcasing my projects tomorrow at our county's "Market Day". It's a new venue for selling crafts, re-sale and fundraising. We hope there will be a large turnout especially after all the rain - the weather forecast is for "Sun".
I've had fun making bibs - my first endeavour. These are one of a kind - I won't replicate any of the cloth ones.
The pink tote is in honor of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. We plan to raffle it off to raise money for our Relay.
May your April showers bring you May Flowers. dp

Too many irons in the fire...

Yes,it has been too long since I've posted! My title says it all - I became a consultant for Entertaining at Home (aka Taste of Home Entertaining) which I have enjoyed immensely, while continuing to do all my other projects - taking care of my husband, spending time with my children and grandchildren, helping at Bella LaRue Salon, dealing with my mother-in-law's cancer and death along with other miscellaneous items. Finally, Spring has arrived and I want to get back on track with Bella Bags. I will update soon with pictures of new creations.

I had fun making this great diaper bag. It's a gift for a sweet baby boy but we didn't use the typical baby fabric. The bag pattern is roomy with plenty of pockets, inside and out, and a wide comfy handle. Mom will look cool and all together with this hip print!

Remember all the folks affected by Hurrican Ike. May God give them strength and hope as they return to their homes.

Soggy Wet

What a way to end August. Tropical Storm Fay came our way and left us plenty of water and limbs. We were reminded that we can't control the weather or forecast it perfectly either.

I have added some additional items. You can have a holder for your phone just by sending me the dimensions. These are great way to stop loosing your phone in your purse since they won't just fall to the bottom. They also cushion your phone if you drop it.

Can't wait 'till Fall - that's not until October here. Crisp mornings and less humidity. What a wonderful thought!

Summer is going by fast and school will soon be starting in our area. Hope all of you have had fun and found time to enjoy yourselves. I have not found time for my favorite pasttime - sitting on the beach - but I plan to soon.

I now make Blackberry holders, cell phone holders and a really neat wallet.. I will add photos soon. The holders are simple with no attachments but sized to hold the phone securely. The wallet is a tri-fold with card slots. Holders are $10 and wallets are $25. Tell me your favorite color(s) - I have a variety of fabrics.

Keep cool and safe...
