I had fun making this great diaper bag. It's a gift for a sweet baby boy but we didn't use the typical baby fabric. The bag pattern is roomy with plenty of pockets, inside and out, and a wide comfy handle. Mom will look cool and all together with this hip print!

Remember all the folks affected by Hurrican Ike. May God give them strength and hope as they return to their homes.

Soggy Wet

What a way to end August. Tropical Storm Fay came our way and left us plenty of water and limbs. We were reminded that we can't control the weather or forecast it perfectly either.

I have added some additional items. You can have a holder for your phone just by sending me the dimensions. These are great way to stop loosing your phone in your purse since they won't just fall to the bottom. They also cushion your phone if you drop it.

Can't wait 'till Fall - that's not until October here. Crisp mornings and less humidity. What a wonderful thought!

Summer is going by fast and school will soon be starting in our area. Hope all of you have had fun and found time to enjoy yourselves. I have not found time for my favorite pasttime - sitting on the beach - but I plan to soon.

I now make Blackberry holders, cell phone holders and a really neat wallet.. I will add photos soon. The holders are simple with no attachments but sized to hold the phone securely. The wallet is a tri-fold with card slots. Holders are $10 and wallets are $25. Tell me your favorite color(s) - I have a variety of fabrics.

Keep cool and safe...

New bags

I hope everyone enjoyed their "4th". Ours was very laid back and relaxed. We now ready for a trip to the beach and a few days of fun in the sun at the end of the month.
There are 2 new catalogue bags posted - these are ready to be shipped - no waiting! The "exotic giraffe" is also ready to go - I just loved the print.
Try to stay cool and enjoy your summer!

Time keeps slipping away...

I haven't posted in quite a while and I have no excuse except for letting time slip away. I have sold several purses at a local salon and have more in the making. These will be for my site and I will post photos. Check out all the fantastic fabric available by checking out my links for Equilters and besewhappy.

A special thanks to my good and gracious friend Renee. She will taking my business cards to the Taste of Home Entertaining convention next month. Also she will be using her two catalogue bags from Bella Bags.

As summer begins, don't let time slip away without enjoying some of the more important things...
swimming, watermelon, watching afternoon thunderstorms, chasing waves at the beach!

Christmas in May

I'm sewing on my new machine, a Husqvarna-Viking 830, - and yes they make chainsaws too. It's great and I have so much to learn. But what fun.... Christmas in May.

My week was full with watching grandkids, helping my kids (all adults) and playing with the new machine. I have much to be thankful for and have to remind myself of this often when the weeks fill up with "stuff" and "things to do".

Down Time

What a week! Hot weather arrived and my sewing machine has seen its best days. My new one should here Tuesday.
I've also had problems with my email - if you didn't receive a message you were expecting please contact me again. Email is on line now.
Don't see a fabric that speaks "that's me", send me note with your favorite color, design or theme and I will send you sample ideas.

First of many

What an exciting week - my first comment and first finished product picture.
The bag is made to the specs for The Taste of Home Entertaining catalogue.

Slow but steady

As you can see I have added to my page. I am learning as I go so if something looks a little funny you know why. Over the next few weeks I plan to add pics of patterns I offer and more fabric samples. I heard from my new good friend Renee who is testing my catalogue bag - she likes it. She did offer some much needed constructive analysis (criticism sounds too harsh)! Thanks Renee.

Until I have everything up and running, send me an e-mail with your questions.

Getting Started

This is a new venture for me. I am excited about showing my products to others outside of my comfort zone ( my small town) and I hope everyone enjoys a bella bag as much as I enjoy making them!
